Mykelle Walton

Mykelle (she/her) is a circus artist with a background in high level gymnastics and modern dance. She uses movement arts to share a narrative experience. Creatively, her work follows two distinct lines: (1) producing one-of-a-kind shows that use devised theatre and idea-centered thinking to create circus events and (2) I am infinitely curious about pushing the physical boundaries of what the human body can do – combining it with the strength, grace, and artistry of contemporary aerial arts to create complex work. This work draws implicit parallels between the human experience, philosophy, and physics while layering ideals of the emotional journey, critical theory and aerodynamics.

She currently resides in the forests of Massachusetts with her wife and their two cats.
