Injury Prevention

Welcome to a different sort of circus class – Injury Prevention! We will be taking a top down approach to stabilization and strengthening of muscles and joints starting with the neck and going all the way to the feet. Each week we focus on a different body part learning their relevance to not only circus, but how to keep your bits healthy throughout an active life. We will cover anatomy, the dos/don’ts of movement and training, a sprinkling of physics, and some neurology thrown in for fun.

No prerequisites required! Bring your body, a notebook, and get curious about movement with circus instructor, body mechanic, and Physical Therapist Deb Chesser.

For people looking to learn something new and exciting, circus is a non-competitive, artistic, fun and safe discipline. All classes at SHOW focus on vocabulary retention, interpersonal life skills, and having fun in a safe environment. Circus is a great way to increase self-esteem, have fun, get in shape, improve focus and learn skills that will translate to every aspect of your life. Circus for Fun, Circus for Life.
