Gentle Fit + Flex

Would you like to get stronger, but the thought of doing a push-up fills you with dread? Or perhaps you’d like to improve your flexibility, but being able to touch your toes is a fond memory? If so, this class is for you! Gentle fit and flex is an hour long class designed for folks who would like to ease their way into a regular fitness and mobility practice without feeling overwhelmed or completely unable to move the next day. The first half of the class will be devoted to warming up our bodies and accessible, targeted strength training for major muscle groups with a particular focus on core strengthening. The second half of the class will consist of gentle, assisted mobility work with a particular focus on areas of the body that are tight for most of us who spend a lot of time sitting. We will employ equipment such as light weights, therabands, superbands, and low aerial apparatuses. You will leave this class feeling happily challenged and refreshed—and you will be able to move the next day!
