This all-levels flexibility class will offer exercises and techniques beyond simple stretching. Great for aerial students who want to work towards getting flat splits AND for people who just want to learn more about moving and stretching safely! Modifications and/or challenges will be offered depending on students’ current levels, so this class welcomes all — from flexibility veterans to folks totally new to flexibility training.
The emphasis is on active flexibility, to increase control through full ranges of motion and to decrease risk of injury. Each 1 hour class will work on mobility and strengthening for splits, straddles, AND backbends, creating a well-rounded flexibility routine. Over the course of the series students will learn a variety of innovative drills and tools geared toward addressing common flexibility limitations. So not only will folks leave each class feeling stronger and bendier, they will also walk away with a greater understanding of safe and effective flexibility training techniques in general.
For people looking to learn something new and exciting, circus is a non-competitive, artistic, fun and safe discipline. All classes at SHOW focus on vocabulary retention, interpersonal life skills, and having fun in a safe environment.
