Makeups:
Make up Policy for Students enrolled in Adult Classes
Students can join an Open Studio session for free to make up up to two classes missed during the current session. Un-used make ups cannot be rolled over into a new session.
If a student misses several classes and falls behind the rest of the class in a way that is detrimental to the safety and/or continuity of the class, the Coach may ask the student to move to a class with a more appropriate skill level, or ask the student to wait for the next session of classes to begin. We will not give credit for classes that the student missed (see the Make up policy) but we will give credit for any classes missed when the student is moved to another class or session.
Drop ins may not be used to make up a missed class.
Make up Policy for Students enrolled in Youth Classes
1) One make-up class per semester can be arranged in cases of illness/injury.

2)All make-ups must be scheduled in advance and will be based on availability in a class that is suitable for the student. Please call or email the studio for arrangements.
3) All make-ups must be used during the semester in which the original class was missed.
Drop ins:
Drop ins to classes are only allowed by permission of instructor, and only if the class has room. To arrange a drop in you must contact the office by phone or email prior to the class. Persons who show up to drop into a class without calling ahead may be denied entrance to the class if there is not sufficient room, or if the instructor feels that they may impede the progress of the other students. Drop ins to intermediate/advanced classes must be pre approved by an instructor.
Private Lessons:
Students are welcome to warm up in the studio prior to a scheduled lesson and stay after as long as the studio is open and the space is available. They must have permission of their instructor to use any equipment, and must sign a waiver. They are only allowed to use equipment on which they have trained with a coach.
Cancellation policy for Private Lessons: lessons must be cancelled by phone at 413-341-0005 24 hrs prior to the scheduled lesson. Students who cancel a private class in less than 24 hours or do not show up may be charged for the lesson or a $20 administration fee.
Class Policies:
Show Circus reserves the right to cancel any class after the second week of the session if the class does not obtain minimum enrollment. In the event of a cancellation because a class does not meet the minimum enrollment, a full refund of the unused portion of the tuition will be made, or the unused portion may be credited toward any other Show Circus class. Any student who withdraws from a course before the first class will be entitled to a full refund. For the safety of the instructors and the students, parents are asked to leave the studio during private lessons and kids classes. A time will be set aside for students to safely showcase their skills for their parents.
Open studio:
A person wishing to use our facility to train on their own must pay an individual user fee. If they wish to use apparatus, and are not currently a Show Circus student, they must be evaluated and have written approval from one of our instructors. Any student 16 or older currently taking adult session classes or private lessons is allowed to come to Open Studio. Adult session class students may use Open Studio to make up up to two classes missed during the current session. Please check the studio calendar for current open studio times.
COST: $10, or free as a make up for a missed class.
OPEN STUDIO RULES
(signed by all students at the beginning of each Open Studio class)
1. You are only allowed at Open Studio if you are already a circus student. Open studio is not for first timers looking to try something for the first time. Please sign up for a class or lesson to get started.
2. You are only allowed to use equipment that you have studied with a coach.
3. Open studio time is a time to practice skills that you have studied with a coach. It is not a time to teach yourself new skills.

4.You may not teach another Open Studio student any new skills.
5. You may not spot another student. If you are practicing a trick that you need spotting for, you should not be practicing it at Open Studio.
6. You must train with an appropriate mat under the equipment. If this is unclear to you please check in with the Open Studio staff person.
7. If the open studio staff person feels you are training something that is unsafe, they may ask you to stop doing the activity. Please respect them and realize that they are looking out for your safety and the safety of others.
8. Open studio renters are to treat equipment and studio supplies with respect. Please put things back when you are done using them. Clean any messes you may leave.
9. Please show respect to others that are using the space. People of many different skill levels and backgrounds may be using the space at one time. Share equipment reasonably. Please exercise consideration when using music and negotiate a compromise if there is a disagreement regarding use of music. Be polite to others. No derogatory comments.
10. If you continue to endanger yourself, or others, or otherwise are disrespectful of the space you may be asked to leave.
General studio policies:
•Keep studio neat and tidy. Please put back any equipment or supplies in the appropriate place when done using them. Feel free to use cleaning supplies (paper towels, vacuum, etc) to clean any messes you make.
•Be safe. Please respect our instructors and any decisions they make on spotting or safety. Don’t do anything to endanger another person. An instructor has the right to request a doctors note if they feel it is important for the safety of the student.
•Be respectful. Show Circus Studio should be welcoming to people of all abilities and from all walks of life.
•Payment is due in full at time of class/lesson/rental. At this time we accept credit cards via paypal, cash and checks.
